POLY QUAT-80®

POLY QUAT-80® is a Biocide especially developed for Sugar & Alcohol Plants. It acts in the control of microorganisms responsible for bio-deterioration of raw materials in the alcohol fermentation process. POLY QUAT-80® is a product that is easy to handle and stable at high temperatures, with a wide pH range.

POLY QUAT-80® has been widely studied for application in Plants and evaluated in relation to the most varied microorganisms. The active substances of POLY QUAT-80® are approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration – FDA 21CRF 178.1010) for use in indirect contact with food, cleaning and disinfection of utensils and equipment from the food area. Our Technical Department can guide you in the best application for your system.

APPLICATION:

POLY QUAT-80® is indicated as biocidal agent in the control of microbiological contaminants in agroindustrial processes.

Sugar-Alcohol Industry:

POLY QUAT-80® is indicated in the disinfection of syrups obtained from Sugarcane more than 50 hours after burning and/or conditions of interruptions in mills for more than 4 hours. In general, it is applied in the ultimo group, returning from the last to the first, in doses close to 20 ppm.

It is also indicated in the disinfection of mills, equipment, chutes, hydraulic system, tubs, etc.

Citric Cultivation:

POLY QUAT-80® is indicated for use in footbaths, road vehicle disinfection, in applications on transport vehicles, agricultural machinery, agricultural implements. Harvesting equipment: knives, trimming scissors, saws, harvest boxes and other materials used.

MICROBIOLOGICAL EFFECTIVENESS:

POLY QUAT-80® is effective against bacteria and fungi, with the following range of action:

PACKAGING, HANDLING, STORAGE:

Polyethylene drums of 20, 50 and 200 Kg. Returnable container of 1000 Kg.

Keep the product in the original pack, away from sunlight and at temperatures lower than 50 °C. The suitable materials for contact with the product include stainless steel, PE, PPE, PVC and Teflon.

For safe handling, use latex gloves, safety shoes and goggles against splashes.

EFFECTS ON THE ENVIRONMENT

POLY QUAT-80® is biodegradable when diluted below the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration. In case of spills or leaks, proceed as indicated in the Material Safety Datasheet (MSDS) and dispose off according to the local legislation.
